General description: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al mare are the destinations of this tour. All together are known as the "Five Lands". What were once just simple fishing villages now animated by a few people only, are a major tourist attraction in the Liguria region. The highly indented coastline and the mountains fall into the sea with incredibly steep slopes and offer an absolutely charming image of this part of Italy. The work of man, clearly visible in form of terraces, has been the only possible way to turn these treacherous wild places into highly productive areas of the typical dessert wine called Sciachetrà.

Detailed description: particularly appreciated on summertime, there are various ways to cover the tour which is second that transcends the boundaries of Tuscany. La Spezia is approximately two hours far from Florence and is the real departing point of the tour. From here we can choose to go directly to Riomaggiore by car and then continue by feet towards Manarola, along the famous and charming "route of love", or to go to Portovenere. From here, sea conditions permitting, you can get a boat to make the entire route by the sea. Moor in the small port of each village with the exception of Corniglia that stands on top of a hill at a height of about one hundred meters above sea level. This is probably the funniest and undoubtedly best way to enjoy a wider view of the entire "Five Lands". The boat is a valid alternative to the train that stops at each village. Regarding the way back you can choose to end the "Five Lands" tour at at the departing point or at Monterosso, the largest village of the "Five Lands". Here you will find our driver ready to assist you and to bring you back to Florence. We are confident that the following day you would like to repeat this experience.
